BNWLA has been striving since its foundation in 1979 to build up safeguards against all forms of violence, exploitation and discrimination against women and children by ensuring legal and rehabilitation support.
We are seeking to build a shelter for survivors of trafficking, rape, domestic slavery, abuse and exploitation, to provide safe refuge, training, skills and a new start in life, so that they can re-enter society with dignity.
The shelter will include dormitories, school and training facilities, an auditorium and a multi-purpose hall, in a green-field site already secured just outside Dhaka. For the entire project, we need to raise approximately £330,000 (44 crore taka).
Every single donation will help, no matter how small. Please give, and change the future of the thousands of women, girls and boys who will benefit over the years from the shelter, as they seek to rebuild their broken lives. Please click on the “Make a donation” button to donate.
Thank you for visiting this page, and for your support. We are grateful also for the support of Drishtipat, the Bangladesh Human Rights Pressure Group.
